Car theft victim support desk

Anti-Vehicles Lifting Cell of police on Thursday established a victim support desk to provide assistance to victims of vehicle theft.

This decision was taken by the AVLC SSP Arif Aslam Rao during his meeting with robbery victims at his office.

The senior officer issued directions to officers to remain in touch with the complainants and keep them informed about progress in the cases. Besides in case of recovery of vehicles, the complainants/owners should be informed immediately.

Furthermore, the AVLC officers would also extend help to vehicle owners to fulfil legal formalities from courts for taking custody of their hijacked/stolen vehicles.
