KARACHI: Mahfooz XI Malir edged past Bacha Khan Memorial Banaras by one goal in the Naya Nazimabad Ramadan night football tournament being held at the lush football ground of Naya Nazimabad.

Both the teams displayed superb game in the thrilling contest that was witnessed by a large number of fans. Sameer Ali of Mahfooz XI scored the only goal of the match in the 45th minute of the game to give his team the lead. Tournament Director Nasir Ismail declared Sameer of the winning team as the winner of Masha United Man of the Match award. Earlier, Chief Guest Arshad Hussain who is head of National Bank Sports Division, was introduced to the players of both the teams.

Arshad said that the sports facilities in Naya Nazimabad are a positive and beautiful addition in the metropolis and National Bank would extend full support to sports events at the venue.
