SWABI: A senior English teacher and his grandfather were killed and four other members of their family were injured in Turlandi village of Razaar tehsil on Thursday, police said.

When contacted, Kalu Khan police SHO Fayaz Khan said that members of two families clashed over cattle fodder issue on Wednesday, after which a jirga resolved the dispute.

However, on Thursday morning the teacher Sajjad Ali’s rivals clashed with his maternal uncle in the field over the fodder collection issue again.

As the firing erupted Sajjad and other members of his family rushed to the spot, but were targeted in the middle of the way.

Sajjad was killed on the spot and his grandfather Shamaghoon Khan seriously injured along with four other family members. They were taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital, while Shamaghoon died on way to the DHQ hospital, Mardan.

Police identified the injured as Bacha Rehman, Shah Hassan, Shah Said and Khaista Khan.

AN FIR has been registered against Sanaul Haq, Salman Khan, Wilayat Khan, Ameenul Haq, Ihsalul Haq, Ijaul Haq, Aizazul Haq, Aurangzeb, Asim Khan and Gul Haider.

SHOT DEAD: A mobile trader, who ran his business in Razaar tehsil headquarters, was shot dead by two unidentified motorcyclists in their village on Thursday.

Police said the deceased Aamir Khan was targeted outside his house. An FIR has been registered against unknown assailants in Kalu Khan police station.

Also in the day, a man was killed by his father-in-law and his mother injured over a domestic issue when they were attacked with a dagger in Yar Hussain region on Thursday, said police.

Ismail Khan, 30, and his mother were attacked and seriously injured. They were first taken to Yar Hussain hospital, but shifted to Mardan in serious condition. However, Ismail died on way to the hospital.

The injured woman has registered an FIR against the deceased’s father-in-law.
