SWABI: The police on Sunday arrested a man for killing his nephew, who was the only brother of 11 sisters.

Razaar DSP Pasham Gul Khan told reporters that the incident had occurred in Kalu Khan village a few weeks ago, when the accused first attacked the deceased with a dagger and then shot him dead.

The victim’s wife had got registered an FIR against an unidentified attacker.

However, the Kalu Khan police had arrested the wife of the deceased and her mother-in-law, who during investigation, disclosed that Said Bacha of Ismalia village had killed the victim. DSP Pasham Gul said the victim’s wife, her mother-in-law and the accused collaborated to kill the victim.

It has been learnt that wife of the victim gave birth to a baby boy in the judicial lock-up, following which, she was released on bail.

Separately, an attacker shot dead a man in front of his house in Sheikh Jana village on Sunday.

The wife of the deceased, Ayaz Khan, got registered an FIR with the Kalu Khan police, stating that as the victim stepped out of the entrance gate of his house, Yaseem Khan opened fire on him, leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

She said the cause of the killing was not known.
