Selena Gomez cooking series

Selena Gomez’s series Selena + Chef will return for a third season on HBO Max.

Gomez shared the news alongside a spoof commercial for “The Gomez-crowave” microwave. The video also features footage of Gomez cooking on Selena + Chef. The episodes will premiere later this year as she continues her cooking adventures at home with a new roster of all-star chefs to help her.

In addition to starring, Gomez executive produces the series with Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, Leah Hariton and Melissa Stokes.

Selena + Chef premiered on HBO Max in August and premiered its second season in November. The first season featured Ludo Lefebvre, Antonia Losfaso, Roy Choi and other celebrity chefs, while the second featured Curtis Stone, JJ Johnson, Kelis Rogers and others.

Avatar sequels goes into ‘whole new areas’

Recently, the 66-year-old filmmaker, James Cameron discussed Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, during the episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

When asked how he can top Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time, Cameron jokingly said he cries at the prospect.

“I cry. I just sit here at my desk and I cry, because there’s no way,” he said. “It’s just too much pressure, dude, you know?”

More seriously, Cameron said the sequels will stay true to the original 2009 movie, while taking viewers in a new direction.

“No, look, we just try to be kind of true to what people loved about the first film and take it into, you know, whole new areas, like a lot of our scenes are in the ocean. And so, I’m combining things that I love, like making Avatar and going into the ocean.” he said.

The sequels started production in New Zealand in June 2020.

Spider-Verse sequel sets new trio of directors

The Spider-Verse is welcoming three new directors. Sony Pictures Animation’s sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be helmed by Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson and Joaquim Dos Santos.

Powers is co-director and co-writer of Pixar’s Soul. Thompson was the production designer on the original Spider-Verse and Dos Santos is a seasoned director and storyboard artist who has directed Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, among other series.

The original Spider-Verse grossed a strong $373.5 million worldwide and earned plaudits and awards aplenty, including an Oscar for best animated feature. It was directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman from a script by Rothman and Phil Lord.
