Death toll from Israeli air strikes has risen to 119 killed, including 31 children and 19 women, with 830 wounded.
Palestinians grabbed their children and belongings and fled neighbourhoods on the outskirts of Gaza City on Friday as Israel unleashed a heavy barrage of artillery fire and airstrikes, killing a family of six in their home. Israel said it was clearing a network of militant tunnels ahead of a possible ground invasion.
Israel has massed troops along the border and called up 9,000 reservists as fighting intensifies with Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military has launched more than 600 airstrikes, toppling at least three high-rise apartment buildings, and has shelled some areas with tanks stationed near the frontier.
The Gaza Health Ministry said the toll from the fighting has risen to 119 killed, including 31 children and 19 women, with 830 wounded. Palestinians living outside Gaza City, near the northern and eastern frontiers with Israel, fled the intense artillery bombardment on Friday. Families arrived at the UN-run schools in the city in pick-up trucks, on donkeys and by foot, hauling pillows and pans, blankets and bread.

What a tragedy! Wondering why united nations cannot find a peaceful solution of this horrible situation and after passing some months same episode is repeated in this region. While many international organisations are working hard to improve living standard of people, to educate people but seems they are helpless to do any good thing to avoid this devastation.

It is very painful to see innocent lives are lost and their properties are damaged.
However, if you analyze the situation and think a bit deeper you will realize the Hamas is to be blamed for all these losses. Yes, there are differences between Hamas and Israel. But why would Hamas hide in densely populated areas of Gaza and attack Israel? Who is responsible for the loss of lives from the Isreal side and even Palestinians are dying in the Hamas attack as they are firing rockets recklessly.

Hamas has yet to comprehend that fighting with Israels is giving them a chance to test their ( Israel’s) latest weapons and there will only be one winner .... Israel. Fighting with Jews will bring more death & destruction. Peaceful living is the only solution.
