SUKKUR: Nine members of a family belonging to Chachar tribe, who were killed on Saturday allegedly by armed men of Sabzoi and Jagirani clans in Zaman Chachar village, were laid to rest in graveyards in their native villages on Sunday.

PPP MPA and chieftain Mir Abid Khan Sundrani, former MPA and former district council chairman Sardar Mehboob Ali Khan Bijarani, Kandhkot Deputy Commissioner Munawar Ali Mithiani, SSP Kandhkot Amjad Shaikh and other notables and Sardars also offered condolence to the Turkish guest and expressed grief and sympathies with the heirs of deceased.

PPP MPA Sardar Mir Abid Khan Sundrani said after offering condolence to relatives and prominent persons of Chachar community that he was saddened at the tragic incident and condemned it in strong words.

He said that he was a supporter of oppressed people. All Sardars, Mirs and Pirs were required to raise voice jointly for the end of ongoing tribal disputes. He said that he was strictly diret SSP Kandhkot to take immediate action against those criminals involved in the incident.

Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl general secretary Moulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro arrived in the katcha area in Kandhkot along with a delegation to express grief. Powerful forces were hatching conspiracies against Sindh, he warned.

He advised that operation may be launched against the criminals in Sukkur and Larkana region through Pak Army and Rangers.

The leaders of JUI-F said that neither the case of incident could be registered at the area’s police station nor any arrest was made by police so far.

The nine were killed when armed men said to be belonging to Jagiranis and Sabzois attacked and opened indiscriminate fire on people of Chachar community in the village

Zaman Chachar located in the katcha area within Durrani Mahar police limits Kandhkot on Saturday; the area was showing the look of battle field, the attacker fled from the incident.

The victims were identified nose, nine persons belonging to Chachar community killed included; Hamid, Khaliq, Hazoro all sons of Allah Warayo, Rahib and Shaban sons of Khaliq, Shah Murad son of Wahid, Manzoor son of Muhammad, Anwer son of Wahid and Allah Warayo son of Shah Murad were killed while Zulfiqar Chachar was injured who was shifted to civil hospital Kandhkot but due to his critical condition; he was later on shifted to other hospital.

Hamid and Manzoor were injured in the firing but they succumbed to their injuries while on way; whom dead bodies were shifted to hospital while dead bodies of remaining others were laying on the spot of incident.

Zaman Chachar Chachar told local reporters that the armed men of criminal gangs of Jiand Jagirani and Sabzoi gang jointly attacked and opened indiscriminate firing on their homes in which their nine persons were killed.

Kandhkot SSP Amjad Shaikh said that the incident took place over tribal dispute. Police immediately reached there and took dead bodies into custody which were handed over to relatives of the deceased after completion of necessary legal formalities.

Meanwhile, rallies would be taken out in Kandhkot, Kashmore and Tangwani talukas on May 17.
