LAKKI MARWAT: The provincial government will install an oxygen plant in the District Headquarters Hospital, Tajazai, an official source said on Monday.

He said the hospital’s administration had increased the number of beds from eight to 20 for better care of the Covid-19 patients.

He said medical superintendent Dr Shamsur Rehman had requested the director general health services for installation of the oxygen plant, which the latter had accepted.

The hospital has also a 40-bed isolation ward for the coronavirus patients, the source said.

The installation of centralised plant will enable the hospital’s administration to cope with shortage of oxygen, the official said.
