TAXILA: A woman was shot dead over an old enmity in Jhugain area on Thatta Khalil road in limits of Taxila police station on Saturday.

Family members and eyewitnesses told police that the woman was with her two minor children when masked men opened indiscriminate firing at her resultantly she received multiple injuries and died on the spot.

On getting information, Rawalpindi city police officer Ahsan Younas reached the spot along with senior officials of the investigation wing.

Moreover, a man died while his friend was injured when a speeding dumper hit their motorcycle on Tipu Sultan chowk on G.T. Road opposite Cadet College Hasanabdal. The dead and injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. The dumper driver managed to escape with the vehicle.

Meanwhile, in a shopkeeper was shot and injured by two armed robbers during a robbery attempt in a pharmacy on G.T. Road, a few yards away from Wah Saddar Police station.
