SAHIWAL: Around 661 development projects worth Rs3.70 billion were undertaken in Sahiwal district, and of them, 181 projects have been completed.

The District Coordination Committee learned this at a meeting at the DC office on Saturday.

Ikram Wattoo, deputy director of development, said five grants were being utilised for the projects.

Up to Rs138m will be spent on the provision of missing facilities in 40 schools. Up to 87 community development schemes with Rs800m are underway. Up to Rs459m have been spent under the federal government’s Social Action Programme.
