ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday made high level posting/transfer of senior bureaucrats.

According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), was posted as secretary water resources. Dr Bangash was working as the chief secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The services of Shakeel Qadir Khan, another PAS BS-21 officer working under the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been placed at the disposal of the AJK government for posting as the chief secretary.

Likewise, special secretary Establishment Division Ishrat Ali, a PAS officer of BS-22, has been transferred and posted as secretary Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Division.

The government also appointed retired Capt Munir Azam, a BS-22 officer of PAS, as Member Pakistan Tobacco Board (PTB). As per a notification, the “federal government has further been pleased to post/appoint Capt (retd) Munir Azam as chairman of Pakistan Tobacco Board.”

Last week, the Establishment Division had notified the posting of Nadeem Irshad Kayani, a BS-22 officer of PAS, as secretary Science and Technology Division.

Dr Arshad Mahmood, a BS-22 officer of PAS, was posted as secretary petroleum.
