RAWALPINDI: The Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday revised the travel advisory regarding inbound travel to Pakistan which will be effective from May 26.
However, the advisory for Iraq, which has recently been included in Category C countries, will become effective from June 5.
The CAA said the travel restriction on inbound travel to Pakistan from Category C countries already conveyed on March 2021, will continue to remain effective until further order in this regard.
The international travelers from any country are required to possess valid negative PCR test certification conducted within 72 hours prior to commencement of travel to Pakistan.
However, intentional travel to Pakistan from 38 Category C countries is banned and only allowed subject to exemption by committee as per procedure in vogue.
Pakistan had already extended travel ban on passengers from countries categorized as C country until further notice with adding of 15 more countries to the list including Iran, Bangladesh and Indonesia bringing the total number of countries to 38.
The 14 countries added to the category C list included, Indonesia, Philippines, Iraq, Slovenia, Namibia, Croatia, Netherlands, Iran, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Poland, Cuba, Thailand, Czechia and Dominican republic.
Spokesman for CAA Saad Bin Ayub had said the number of countries categorized as C, had been increased and travel ban on inbound travellers will remain effective till further order.
