QUETTA: Parliamentary Secretary on Health Dr Rubaba Khan Buledi has said that the provincial government has brought the Balochistan Vaccination Amendment Act, 2021, to protect the children from various diseases

Presiding over a consultative meeting of the Health and Law Department on Thursday, she said the new act would replace the West Pakistan Vaccination Ordinance, 1958.

She said: “The new act is not a copy of any previous law, but it was formulated in accordance with the conditions and needs of Balochistan.”

Dr Rubaba said it had been decided to bring a law to control an outbreak of a disease effectively in future in addition to routine immunisation. She said: “We worked hard on the new law and succeeded in bringing this unique and effective amendment act.”

She claimed that record legislation had been done by the present government, which was a proof of its strong commitment to a prosperous Balochistan.
