Photo frames are evergreen, everyone likes to have one. But, unfortunately, they come with a high price tag. Worry not, here is a cute DIY to make an easy photo frame at home.
The photo frame is made from foam sheets but if you want, you can use felt sheets as well.
Things you need:
Foam sheet of two contrasting colours (I chose purple and pink)
Foam/felt pieces of at least three vibrant colours (to make one-inch balloons)
Hardboard (4x6) four-inches height and six inches width
White glue or hot glue
Scissors
A bottle cap
Pieces of ribbon or string (any colour)
Directions:
Cut the hardboard according to the picture you are making the frame for; I have chosen a 4x6 size. Cut the purple foam sheet a bit bigger than the cardboard piece, see picture 2.
Cut the pink foam sheet a bit smaller than the purple, see picture 3.
To make the wavy edge of the photo frame, put a bottle cap on the purple foam sheet and draw circles on the edge, then cut it accordingly. Repeat this step on the pink sheet as well, see pictures 4 and 5.
Draw a rectangle on the pink sheet. Cut the centre off, this is where you will insert or paste your photo, see pictures 6 and 7.
From the multi-coloured pieces of foam sheets, cut out one-inch ovals, these are the balloon. Then cut pieces from string, see picture 8.
Paste the strings on the back of balloons and tie them together, picture 9.
Paste these balloons on any one side of the frame, picture 10.
The photo frame is ready,
all you have to do is to make a loop of string and paste it on the back of the photo frame, or a cardboard cut in “L” shape
as a stand; see picture 11 and 12.
