PESHAWAR: The Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia USA, has awarded the postgraduate degree of Doctor of Law with Honours to Kamil Jamil of Swabi, who is a graduate of LUMS and Cadet College Kohat, for his research achievements in law and religion.
The varsity, which is ranked amongst the top universities in the world, is to permanently display his name on the campus.
Kamil Jamil is the son of Dr Shehnaz Nadir, professor of gynaecology at the Khyber Medical College, and Professor of Medicine Dr Shahid Jamil.
He is the grandson of pioneer of dermatology Dr Durre Kamil and former secretary health Dr Nadir Khan. He is the great grandson of Malak Durre Jamil Khan of Asota Sharif, Razaar tehsil of Swabi.
