LAKKI MARWAT: Unknown men shot dead a tribal elder of Janikhel in Zindi Alikhel area of Bannu on Monday.

The police said Malik Naseeb Khan, 60, was ambushed by armed men in the rural area.

The attackers also took away a rifle, a mobile phone and cash of the slain elder with them.

The body was handed over to relatives for burial after fulfilling medico-legal formalities.

The Janikhel police registered a case against the killers on the complaint of deceased’s son, Haseenullah.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the slain elder and tribesmen placed his body in front of the police station to demand immediate arrest of the killers.
