DERA GAHZI KHAN: Police succeeded in managing safe recovery of two policemen from captivity of Khuda Bukhsh Lund gang who had demanded the release of a gang member who was arrested during an operation against Chotu gang in 2016.

Constables Arshad and Irfan were kidnapped by Khuda Bukhsh Lund gang, stated to be ramnants of Chotu gang, from Jewan Mor, Rujhan .

Police used the influence of Mazari tribe elders for negotiations with kidnappers who were demanding the release of a convicted gangster on 18 counts.

Regional Police Officer DIG Rana Faisal said the gang’s demand was insane and not worth negotiation. He said police conducted a ground operation against the kidnappers beside engaging them in talks through Mazari elders which resulted into the safe recovery of the policemen. He said the operation against gangs would continue till the arrest of last gangster in the riverine area of Rujhan.
