KHAIRPUR, Oct 24: Former District Nazim Nafisa Shah and the district president of the PPP ladies wing, Gazala Siyal, have said SHO investigation B-Section Khairpur, Javed Farooqui, raided the house of PPP leader Luqman, Abdul Kareem Naich on Monday morning and picked him up.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, they said that Abdul Kareem Naich had hosted an Iftar party for former district nazim Nafisa Shah on Sunday evening and this raid was related to that.

They said that the worker was also threatened to leave the PPP and join PML-F otherwise he and his family members would be implicated in false cases.

They said that after murder of six people of Kandhro biradari, police have started arresting PPP workers instead of the accused persons.

They alleged that police officials were involved in murder of six people but the same police officials have been made incharge in operation against the accused persons.

Ghulam Hussain Mughal, general secretary PPP city Khairpur, Amjad Shah PPP president taluka Khairpur, Saleh Ansari UC Nazim Bukhari and Samiullah Shah Rashdi were present on the occasion.

INJURED: The SDO irrigation, Faiz Ganj, was manhandled and injured on Saturday evening at Faiz Wah canal.

The SDO, Ghulam Nabi has registered an FIR at Faiz Ganj police station under sections 324, 353 PPC and 61, 62 irrigation act against eleven growers including Hussain Bakhsh Mari, Mushahid Mari, Noor Mohammad Mari, Shaman, Bhutto Khan, Rafique Khan and five unknown persons.
