Khanna police SHO suspended

ISLAMABAD: Khanna police SHO was suspended on Saturday over poor performance and negligence in duty, police said.

The SHO was suspended by SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer during a meeting held here to review crime rate and improve security in the city.

Additional SP Islamabad Farhat Abbas Kazmi, Zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs also attended the meeting.

The SSP while appreciated the performance of six investigation officers including SI Manzoor Ahmed, SI Azmat Hayat, ASI Rasheed, ASI Pervez, ASI Arif and ASI Khalid Mahmood. They were rewarded with commendation certificates and cash prizes.

The SSP directed all the police to improve performance as negligence in this regard would not be tolerated at any cost.

He also directed the policemen to wear bullet-proof jackets while on duty.

He warned that those not observing the SOP during checking and patrolling would be punished.

He directed SP (Rural), Industrial Area and Saddar Zone to accelerate search operation in the adjoining areas of Rawalpindi.

He asked the officials to send applications regarding illegal occupation of land to the Anti-Land Grabbing Committee while the cases of civil nature to conciliatory committees.

The meeting also offered Fateha for the police martyrs.
