3060 Billion Rupees for interest payments alone. Then came the defense budget of 1360 Billion and Pensions are consuming 480 Billion rupees and provision of pay and pension for 160 Billion rupees again. Moreover running of the Civilian government will cost 479 Billion rupees. So imagine more than 65% of the budget is going to these 3 sectors which we can actually mitigate. Tax payers are paying the high pension of more than 600 Billion to government employees. It is astonishing in my view.

@Fastrack, Can you elaborate with numbers that what is friendly in this budget?. What tax rebate SMEs are getting?. Why the GST is still fixed at 16% whereas Telecom sector will enjoy a services tax cut by a huge margin?. Yes this budget is friendly for corporations only. Ordinary people are not getting much from it.

What is the fun of setting budget targets, when there are no means of a achieving it? It is well known from decades of experience that, budgets are made by the financial experts and executed by the hyper-experts in corruption.

Despite tall claims of recovery in exports targets for the year 2021-22 has been kept as 26 billion dollar that is moderate. What could be the reason? May be relations with US are not settled. US is biggest export destination of Pakistan goods. No body has clarity which ways bases issue settled.
