Craft sticks are a wonderful staple that you must keep at home. They offer you a chance to make easy and versatile crafts in just a matter of minutes. In addition, they can be of big help in turning last minute gift ideas into reality.

Although there is still a week until Father’s Day, I am bringing to you Popsicle stick folding memorial, which can be made in just half an hour. And it will be an ideal gift for your dad as it would be handmade by you, with love, especially for him.

Things you need:

  1. Large coloured craft sticks, at least eight. The number of sticks depends on the number of sentences you are going to write, in my case eight.

  2. White glue

  3. A piece of any coloured paper (6-inches lengthwise, and 3-inches width)

  4. Scissors

  5. Piece of ribbon

  6. Multi-coloured markers

  1. You need a small piece of coloured paper, 6-inches in height and 3-inches in width for eight Popsicle sticks, (if you are making from 10 or 12 Popsicle sticks, the length of the paper will increase), see picture 2.

  2. Paste white glue on top of the paper, and then carefully put the stick over it, pictures 3 and 4.

  3. Keep pasting the sticks on the paper; give a tiny space between all the sticks (this makes folding the craft easy), pictures 5 and 6.

  4. When complete, leave the sticks on the paper to dry. In this step, you can choose either to write on the paper you have pasted the sticks on or on the sticks separately, as I have done, see picture 7.

  5. Make a one-inch loop from ribbon, and paste it on the back of this stick card, see picture 8.

  6. After pasting the loop, it is time to pour out your love and respect on the sticks using coloured markers, see picture 9.

  7. When done, fold it and tie a ribbon around, present it to your dad on Father’s Day!
