Pakistan to host G1 Taekwondo Championship in November

BEIRUT: Pakistan will host the Pakistan Army’s G-1 Taekwondo Championship in November which would see the top players from across the globe taking part, South Asian Taekwondo Association president and Pakistan Taekwondo Federation vice-president Omar Saeed said after the World Taekwondo Asia general assembly here on Sunday.

Alongside Omar, PTF secretary general Murtaza Bangash represented Pakistan as the World Taekwondo Asia general assembly chaired by president Prof. Kyu Seok Lee and attended by representatives from South Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei, Palestine, Philippines, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Former PTF president and current adviser Iftikhar Tabassum was elected World Taekwondo Asia vice-preisent while South Korea was given the opportunity to host the 25th Asian Taekwondo Championships and Iran will host the 5th WT President Asia Cup and 11th Asian Club Championships.
