Faisalabad trounce champions

KARACHI, Oct 25: Faisalabad gained sweet revenge for their defeat in last season’s final by outclassing champions Peshawar by nine wickets in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League fixture at the Arbab Niaz Stadium on Tuesday.

Needing a mere 45, Faisalabad romped home in 6.4 overs after the hosts had been dismissed for 228 in the second innings.

Only skipper Wajahatullah Wasti (82) and Akhtar Sarfraz (67) offered some resistance as paceman Ahmed Hayat captured six for 62.
