ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Wednesday promoted 100 teachers from grade 17 to 18.

According to an official of the education ministry, the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by additional secretary approved promotion of 100 teachers from grade 17 to 18.

The Departmental Promotion Committee meeting was also attended by director general of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Dr Ikram Ali Malik and other officers concerned.

The promoted teachers have been made assistant professors.

They are serving in various colleges and secondary schools of FDE.

An official of the ministry said that after issuance of minutes of DPC, the ministry will issue formal notification of promotion of the said teachers.

He said that in recent months many pending cases of teaching communities including promotion cases have been resolved.
