QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani has regretted that the opposition has set an undemocratic tradition by hurling a shoe at him and attacking a woman MPA on the provincial assembly premises.
Talking to journalists after attending the budget session of the provincial assembly on Friday, he said that the government would conduct a probe into the incidents, including ransacking property in the assembly.
“Serious cases could be registered against the opposition for what they did on the assembly premises today,” he said, adding that there was no precedent for such incidents in the history of Balochistan Assembly.
He said all opposition parties, including BNP-Mengal, had put their ideology at stake just for a few development schemes.
“No negotiation will be held with those who were involved in these incidents,” he said and added that some opposition members were in contact with the government but he “cannot repeat what they are saying”.
Mr Alyani refuted the opposition propaganda about the budget and said: “The coalition government has presented the best budget in which attention has been paid to equal development of all districts of the province.
