QUETTA: Former caretaker provincial minister and Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) president Mir Naveed Ahmed Kalmati said on Sunday that the provincial government of Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani was providing maximum funds for development of Gwadar and other districts of Makran division.

Speaking at a joint press conference along with Adviser and Parliamentary Secretary on Information Bushra Rind, he said that huge funds were being provided for education, health, sports, tourism, provision of drinking water, construction of roads and technical education for human resource development.

Minority MPA Khalil George Bhutto and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Haji Noorullah Lehri were also present on the occasion.

Mr Kalmati said the Gwadar deep sea port and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would prove to be game changers not only for Pakistan, but also for the whole region.
