SIALKOT: In Daska, the local administration retrieved the ancient historic gurdwara building from illegal occupants on Monday.

Daska Assistant Commissioner Bilal Bin Abdul Hafeez told reporters the administration planned the rehabilitation of the historical building of ‘Nanak Sar Gurdwara’ in Daska and design which would soon be opened for the Sikhs.

Local Sikh leader Sardar Jaskaran Singh, who is also the caretaker of Gurdwara Baabey Di Beri, welcomed the rehabilitation plan.

He said that according to the ancient Sikh history, Sikh Guru Nanak Dev Jee stayed at village Fateh Bhinder.

Later, local Sikhs established the Nanak Sar Gurdwara in memoriam of Guru Nanak Dev Jee.

The Gurdwara faced many ups and downs and local influential people had illegally occupied the building and tied up their cattle there.

The local administration, led by the AC, conducted a vigorous operation and got retrieved the building from occupants.
