QUETTA: Country Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organistion (FAO) in Pakistan Rebekah Bell on Thursday said her organistion planned to work with federal and provincial government in sectors of food, livestock, fishing and agriculture in Balochistan through local participation and technical assistance.

During a meeting with Balochistan Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana, she briefed him about the FAO plans. They discussed future measures of the FAO regarding water scarcity, deforestation and agricultural marketing.

Mr Rana called for strict adoption of fruitful measures for effective implementation of the FAO projects in the province.
