CHARSADDA: Three people were killed and an office assistant of a lawyer was injured when their rivals opened fire on them on the premises of judicial complex here on Thursday.

The deceased identified as Bakht Zali Shah, Rehmat Ali Shah and Iqbal Hussain had come to appear in the court for confirmation of their bail before arrest in a murder case.

They were sitting in the chamber of Ashfaq Khan advocate at the judicial complex after appearance in the court of additional sessions judge when accused Faizur Rehman, Rahimullah and Karim entered the chamber and started indiscriminate firing on them.

As a result, all the three were killed on the spot. Shaukat, an office assistant of the advocate, also suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital.

After postmortem at the DHQ hospital, the bodies were handed over to the family members for burial.

The police on duty arrested two accused Faizur Rehman and Rahimullah and recovered arms used in the attack. The cause of the incident was stated to be an old enmity between the two groups. The city police lodged an FIR in the triple murder case and have started investigation.

Meanwhile, DPO Zabiullah Khan ordered suspension of security in-charge of judicial complex Bahar Ali and three constables.
