TAXILA: There is a need to turn provincial jails into reformation centres so that when inmates are released, they can become responsible citizens, District and Sessions Judge (DSJ) Syed Naveed Raza Boukhari said during a surprise visit to Attock jail.

On this occasion, Judicial Magistrate Kamran Zaheer Abbassi, Jail Superintendent Farrukh Rasheed, Deputy Superintendent Afzaal Ahmed Warriach and other jail officers were also present who assisted them while visiting the female ward, barracks, juvenile ward, kitchen, hospital and other areas of the prison.
