LAHORE: A woman was killed and three men injured in a firing incident outside Camp Jail on Saturday.

Police said Zulfiqar was released on bail from Camp Jail on Ferozepur Road in a murder case when his opponents riding a car opened fire at him.

Police said the victim and his three relatives Imdad, Ghulam Rasool and Iqra suffered bullet wounds in the firing incident and the attackers later fled the scene.

The injured were shifted to Services Hospital where Iqra succumbed to her injuries while three others were critical.

CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar took notice of the incident and sought a report from Civil Lines SP operation Raza Safdar Kazmi.

Meanwhile, DIG operation Sajid Kiyani said initial investigation suggested that the suspects were the opponents of the victim and were waiting outside the jail to attack him.

He said police had recovered CCTV footage of the incident and would soon arrest the suspects.
