KARACHI: To mark anniversary of his martyrdom, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has issued a statement that pays homage to Havaldar Lalak Jan, Nishan-i-Haider, for rendering the ultimate sacrifice on the battlefield.

The ISPR statement said: “Nation pays homage to Havaldar Lalak Jan, NH, who laid his life defending the motherland against (great) odds in most challenging battlefield environment during the Kargil conflict on 7 July 99. His fortitude and selflessness will keep inspiring the indomitable defenders of Pak for times to come.”
