CHAGAI: Two people, including an official of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco), were booked under different sections of the Pakistan Penal Code after a child was killed and two others received injuries when they were electrocuted by electricity wires of a main supply line laying on the ground in Panjak area of Jhal Magsi district. Some head of cattle were also electrocuted.

The Assistant Registrar of Federal Ombudsman in Kharan, Shahzada Allauddin, told Dawn on Tuesday that he received a complaint on Sunday after which the deputy commissioner concerned was approached by his office.

Mr Allauddin said the Levies Force was accused of not registering an FIR, therefore, his office took the matter and held Qesco officials concerned responsible for their criminal negligence. Later an FIR was registered against Qesco lineman Allah Bakhsh and the owner of a private tubewell, Qurban Ali.
