You reap what

you sow

This is regarding the story “You reap what you sow” by Maryam Habib (YW, 19 June). The story beautifully conveyed its message that in our society when someone has failed to do something, instead of supporting and uplifting their confidence, people make fun of them. This makes them feel dejected and discouraged.

I agree with the point the writer made in her story, that we should help others if they don’t know something.

The signs speak

This is with reference to the cover story “The signs speak”, by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, June 12). The writer has wonderfully defined the functions of signs present in front of hotels, shops, restaurants, malls, taxi stands and around us.

Signs serve as a guide; tell us the place, indicate the route, or mention a mandatory rule.

Signs are an important part of life. I am thankful to the writer for coming up with such a unique topic.

Dad matters!

This is regarding the cover story, “Dad matters” by Benazir Raz (YW, June 19). The writer has beautifully expressed her views on a great personality in our life — our father.

People mostly shower their love and respect for mothers, but seldom share their thoughts on fathers. However, both parents are equally important in our life. Both sacrifice their lives for our happy life and prosperity. A father is someone who sacrifices his whole life to see his children reach a higher-level where people could only dream of reaching.

Although every father has his own way of treating his children, whatever he does, he does that for the good of his kids. Thus, we should never forget his sacrifices and contributions, and always love him.

Dad matters!

The cover article “Dad matters!” by Benazir Raz made me realise how one feels after their father passes away. Only such children know the pain and importance of father when he is not around; however, this regret does not work. A father’s love and advice is a lifetime support and encouragement.

So, I suggest to the readers to love their fathers and try to understand their situation, even if they don’t speak much and remain silent. I am grateful to the writer for writing such a meaningful piece that really inspires us. I am also thankful to the YW for publishing such informative pieces.
