ABBOTTABAD: An MoU between the Abbottabad University of Science and Technology and Temple University USA was signed here the other day to provide research facility to AUST students.

Temple University is a state-related public research university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which was founded in 1884 by the Baptist minister, Russell Conwell. In 1888, it was renamed the Temple College of Philadelphia.

Speaking on the occasion AUST Vice Chancellor Dr Tahir Urfan Khan said that students of microbiology and health sciences would benefit from the exchange of research papers and visits of the renowned scientists of Temple University.

Dr Adil Khan, director point of care testing and clinical chemistry, while signing the MoU showed full co-operation to hold jointly research studies and hold seminars at AUST.

The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by Dean Prof Dr Mujaddur Rehman, Registrar Iftikhar Hussain and senior faculty members Dr Abdul Lateef and Dr Azam Hayat.
