GWADAR: Two security personnel, including an officer, were martyred and three others injured in a roadside blast that hit their patrolling vehicle in Pasni, a small coastal town of Gwadar district.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Thursday, the incident took place late on Wednesday night.

“Terrorists targeted Security Forces using an IED in Khuda Bakhsh Bazaar near Pasni. An officer Capt. Affan Masood and Sepoy Babar Zaman embraced Shahadat,” the ISPR statement said.

It added that a search operation is in progress to apprehend the perpetrators.

It said such cowardly acts by inimical elements backed by hostile intelligence agencies could not sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan. Security forces are determined to neutralise such nefarious designs at all costs, it added.
