CHAGAI: Iranian authorities on Sunday handed over 306 Pakistanis to the local administration at Taftan border in Chagai district.

According to official sources, these Pakistanis had been arrested in different parts of Iran for not having valid travel documents. Later, they were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency for interrogation.

The detained people wanted to proceed to Europe via Iran.

The sources said the detained Pakistanis were screened and they tested negative for coronavirus.

The deported Pakistanis included 243 from Punjab, 28 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 14 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 11 from Sindh and 10 from Balochistan.
