HYDERABAD is the latest target of Hindu big guns, Hindu leaders and their mouthpiece — the so-called ‘Nationalist’ Press has concentrated all its fighting mantle on the Nizam Front, stated Mr. Ayub Ahmed, a post graduate of Osmania University and former Secretary, Publicity and Information Department (Urdu) of the All-India Muslim League, in a statement to ‘Dawn’.

At a time when the common man in Kashmir is being ruthlessly … slaughtered day in and day out, Hyderabad is being shelled by the Hindu Canons, only to divert public attention and to offer the Kashmir Dogra a refuge in their fortress of communalism.

“The statement of Qaid-e-Azam, therefore,” Dr. Kirmani continued, “comes at an opportune moment making it clear that Kashmir is not Hyderabad and vice versa. The conditions at one place are opposite to that of the other…. Everyone knows that the ancestors of the present ruler of Kashmir acquired Kashmir through the Amritsar treaty, staking only fifty lakhs of rupees. While Hyderabad enjoys the status of an ally of the British Crown. … Moreover, Hyderabad has preserved the high values of Mughal culture and Hindu Muslim unity at the cost of Muslims….”
