GUJRAT: A pet dog of Gujranwala Commissioner Zulfiqar Ghuman on Tuesday went missing from his official residence after which police and Municipal Corporation officials launched a search operation.

Sources said the dog left the house after its gate remained open for a short time.

The staff of the Gujranwala Municipal Corporation and police got activated on the complaint of the commissioner and launched house-to-house search in the vicinity of the commissioner house.

The civic agency staff made announcement through loudspeaker on a rickshaw about the missing dog. The MC staff warned the locals of stern action if the dog was found from any of them during the search operation.

An official of the commissioner office confirmed that the pet dog had gone missing.
