TOBA TEK SINGH: A married woman was killed by her alleged rapists on Tuesday in Rajana’s Katchi Basti.

Reports said on June 16, nine people kidnapped a married woman and three of them allegedly gang-raped her.

According to a first information report registered by Rajana police, five of them were arrested and the rest managed to get pre-arrest bail.

On Tuesday, Waqas, Jamshed, Umer and their three accomplices reached the house of the woman residing with her parents in Katchi Basti. They attempted to bundle her into their car and shot her dead when she offered resistance.

According to the FIR registered on the complaint of victim’s mother under sections 302, 109, 148 and 149 of PPC, the suspects killed her when they failed to kidnap her.

District police spokesperson Attaullah said the DPO ordered the Rajana police to arrest all the suspects. He said two of the suspects had been arrested.

ROOF COLLAPSE: Three people, including two children, were injured when roof of a house caved in at Raja Park locality on Tuesday.

Rescue 1122 said the roof was already dilapidated and caved in.

The injured identified as Madiha Afzal (28), her daughter Khizra (9) and her nephew Ali Ijaz (12) were rushed to hospital.
