PESHAWAR: An explosion took place inside a school for Afghan children in Tajabad area here on Tuesday afternoon.

However, no one was hurt as no student was present there. No damage was caused to the building of Khushal high school either, an official of Peshtakhera police station told Dawn.

“It was not a bomb rather a hand grenade hurled by unknown miscreants,” the police official said.

He said the Counter-Terrorism Department had registered an FIR against unknown persons.
