SWABI: A teenage boy died when a pistol he held to his head went off accidentally while filming a video for social media platform TikTok here on Tuesday, the police said.

Kalu Khan SHO Fayaz Khan said the incident occurred in Adina village of Razaar tehsil, adding Mohammad Asif, 17, was recording a TikTok video and his friends were filming it.

The locals said the boy believed he had emptied the pistol of bullets before filming the video. However, they said as the teenager pulled the trigger a bullet struck his head, killing him on the spot.

The police shifted the body to the tehsil headquarters hospital for autopsy.
