KARACHI: A 20-year-old man, identified as Asad, was shot dead by unidentified suspects in Sindhi Society of Ayub Goth on Wednesday.

Sohrab Goth SHO Mehboob Illahi said that the victim was a resident of Surjani Town. He worked as cleaner of water bowser.

He left home saying that he was going to get information about his tanker driver to know when Covid-related lockdown would be lifted, but did not return home.

The officer said heroin was found from his pocket, indicating the possibility that he was also a drug addict.

In another incident, the body of a man, Gul Khan, 65, with torture marks was found from Khalid Com­pound, Gulshan-i-Buner in Landhi.

The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medi­cal Centre for medico-legal formalities.
