QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has directed officials of the departments concerned to ensure early completion of under-construction dams so that future water requirements of the province can be met.

He also instructed that timelines be fixed for the completion of all projects.

Presiding over a meeting on Thursday about progress made on development projects undertaken by the irrigation and public health engineering departments, he said the period for completion and implementation of the schemes should be fixed. The meeting reviewed progress made on the schemes included in the Annual Development Programme 2021-22 of the health engineering and irrigation departments.

The participants of the meeting were informed that the development programme for the current financial year included 510 schemes of the PHE department.
