PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Tuesday arrested owner of a private company on charges of cheating public at large on the pretext of providing them vehicles on easy installments.

A NAB spokesperson stated that the suspect, Mr Samiullah, owner of Sambrosons Enterprises Pvt Ltd, would be produced before an accountability court today (Wednesday) for obtaining his physical custody.

NAB claimed that it had received complaints from people that the suspect had cheated them in car business.

The bureau said that during the course of investigation it was discovered that the suspect had collected money from people as down payment on the promise of supplying them vehicles on easy installments.

However, after sometime, office of the company was found closed, and the owner allegedly fled along with the money collected from the people.

The NAB claimed that it had so far received claims amounting to millions of rupees. The bureau has asked all the affected persons to submit their claims against the suspect.
