TAXILA: One woman was allegedly sexually assaulted and another abducted in separate cases in Hassanabdal on Thursday.

A married woman of Meharabad reported to the local police that she was sleeping when her brother-in-law Imran entered her room and after locking it from inside forcibly raped her and fled away.

In another incident, Babar Khan told the police that his wife, who works as a waitress at a local marriage hall, was abducted by one Khan Afsar.

Also in the day, one Ali Murtaza complained to the police that an ice cream vendor, identified as Nazeer Hussain, attempted to assault his minor brother. The Hassanabdal police registered separate cases and have started investigations.
