PESHAWAR: Promising international player Noor Zaman of PAF and upcoming Sana Bahadur of Pakistan Army claimed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Independence Day Boys and Girls Squash Championship titles here at the Qamar Zaman Squash Complex on Saturday.

In the boys’ final, Noor recorded a thumping 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 victory against Ahsan Ayaz of Khyber Pakhtunkhw in 45 minutes.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Ahsan beat Zeeshan Zeb of KP 13-11, 11-4, 2-11, 11-9 in 55 minutes battle while Noor overcame PAF’s Waqas Mehboob 12-10, 11-3, 11-7 in a 27-minute battle.

Meanwhile, second seed Sana upset top seed Nimra Aqeel 11-5, 11-3 and 11-4 in the girls’ decider that lasted just 15 minutes.
