Raisani donates land for Balochistan varsity campus

QUETTA: Chief of Sarawan Nawab Aslam Raisani has donated 50 acres of land for the construction of Mastung sub-campus of the Balochistan University.

After demarcation of the land, Nawab Raisani, who is also a former chief minister of Balochistan, formally handed over the land to the university officials during his visit to his constituency and native town of Kanak.

The land was allotted to the university after completing all legal formalities. The construction of the sub-campus will start soon.

Director Dr Ghulam Razzaq Shahwani and Coordinator Dr Ghulam Mustafa Shahwani of the Mastung sub-campus, Nawabzada Mir Raees Raisani, Takri Abdul Haleem Bungulzai, Mir Yusuf Bangulzai, Dr Abdul Sattar Bangulzai were among others who attended the land handing over ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Nawab Raisani said the construction of Mastung sub-campus would not only lead to educational revolution in the region but it would also have a positive impact on economic, political, regional and social affairs.

He appreciated the cooperation of tribal elders and the district administration and expressed the hope that the esteemed people of the area and the tribes would support the vice chancellor and administration of Balochistan University to bring about an educational revolution in the district.
