MANSEHRA: Two people were killed and 11 injured when a pick-up vehicle plunged into a ravine in Susal Galli area of Mansehra district here on Saturday.

The vehicle was on way to Oghi from Mansehra town when the driver lost control over the steering at a steep turn.

A Rescue 1122 team shifted the injured to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital.

The injured, who also included driver Mohammad Jamil, were later referred to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad, where condition of five of them was stated to be critical.

The deceased were identified as Ali Bahadar and Mohammad Zaman.

The police lodged an FIR and started further investigations.

In a similar development, five people sustained critical injuries when a jeep plunged into a ravine in Kanshian area of Balakot tehsil.

Local people shifted the injured to a hospital, wherefrom they were referred them to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad.

The police said the jeep was on way to Kanshian from Balakot.
