Volunteerism Above Self: Tribute to the Selfless Volunteers of SGA
Professor Khalid Hussain Channa

The Sindh Graduates Association (SGA) was established in 1972 to provide students emerging from rural schools in Sindh the opportunity to serve the community that developed them, through volunteering. The book profiles 50 office holders and senior members of the SGA, highlighting their early years, professional achievements, and their dedication of resources, time and energy towards cultivating a peaceful and prosperous Sindh.

Drug Addict: The Life Less Appreciated
Dr Jawed Aziz Masudi

In this well researched treatise, the author lays bare the statistics of drug abuse in Pakistan. He opines that, despite drug abuse being a deeply rooted problem, we as a society and state remain in denial and stigmas attached to addiction prevent users from seeking help. After categorising usage by substance, male and female addicts and socio-economic sectors, he discusses drug control and questions the efforts of the authorities to contain the menace.
